Steam Hammer

During the industrial revolution in the past century, the Phoenix Iron Co. was one of the GIANTS in supplying wrought iron, structural shapes, and fabricated wrought iron for buildings, bridges, and the railroads.

Since there were no suppliers then as we know them today, all of their mill equipment during that period was designed and built in their shops as the need arose. Having previously built several steam hammers, this was their latest design, of which several in their shops are still operating today. They are a monument to the practical mechanics of the past.
